A fun afternoon for the children of Angela House
30.04.2008
A joint initiative organised between Credit Europe Bank N.V. Malta Branch and its Marketing Advertising Agency, Media Consulta, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programmess for 2008 saw 44 children from Angela House, one of a number of children’s homes in Malta, treated to two fun afternoons of bowling followed by a small party with food and drinks. For the majority of the children, this was their first time at a bowling alley. The outing was arranged over two separate afternoons, because of the large number of children who wanted to take part. They were accompanied by nuns and helpers from the Ursuline Sisters Complex in Gwardamangia, of which Angela House forms part. A combined team of staff from Credit Europe Bank N.V. Malta Branch and Media Consulta met with the kids at the Eden Superbowl, St. Julians and formed teams with the children, who were thrilled to have the opportunity to try their hand at bowling. Play went on enthusiastically with some talent and plenty of raw energy unleashed on the lanes. To wrap up the special afternoons with the kids, Credit Europe Bank N.V. Malta Branch presented a back-pack filled with gifts and gifts to each child.
Media Consulta and Credit Europe Bank N.V. Malta Branch expressed their gratitude and thanks to their respective staff, who supported the event by their attendance and for giving up their own time for what proved to be a very worthwhile, fun and rewarding afternoon for the children and the volunteers alike. Both organisations have pledged to carry on supporting Angela House and other similar institutions, which are run by religious people and other volunteers, who have dedicated their lives to helping these less fortunate children.
