Hamdi Arman appointed in Managing Board

“Appointment fits in strategy to further expand in trade and commodity finance” 

The Supervisory Board of Credit Europe Bank N.V. is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Hamdi Arman (43) as member of its Managing Board following approval of De Nederlandsche Bank (Dutch central bank). The appointment fits in the bank’s strategy to further expand its trade and commodity finance services and to offer these services from an increasing number of regional hubs. 

Hamdi Arman will be ‘Global Head of Trade and Commodity Finance’, which means that he will have a group wide responsibility for these specific banking activities. Mr. Arman, a civil engineer who holds an MBA in Finance from Bentley College, Boston, joined Credit Europe Bank in 1995. He started his career at the bank in Geneva, Switzerland, moved to Frankfurt, Germany, in the year 2000 and is working in Amsterdam since 2002.

Credit Europe Bank belongs to the world wide top 20 trade and commodity finance houses, offering tailor-made products and solutions. Clients are serviced mainly from the Amsterdam office, in strong coordination with the bank’s regional hubs. In 2008, the bank’s international trade volume increased to a record level of US$ 12.5 billion.
